Medlab exhibition started BioVendor Group’s 30th birthday celebrations

Again in a joint stand under the BioVendor Group’s unified brand, but this time in Dubai.
In a nutshell
We could not miss the largest fair of laboratory medicine in the Middle East and North Africa region. We started the celebration of the company’s 30th birthday by presenting novelties to our customers. And we also introduced a new virtual tour of the KleeYa® analyzer.
Medlab exhibition started BioVendor Group’s 30th birthday celebrations

Dubai in Arabic means the place of meeting. The hidden symbolism accurately captures the atmosphere of the Dubai World Exhibition Center, which in the last week of January turned into the venue of one of the most important fairs in the field of laboratory medicine, Medlab Middle East.

Connect with innovation that’s changing the face of diagnostics

Representatives of multinational producers, regional distributors and diagnostic laboratories met here in person under this common slogan. This year’s event was held in hybrid form, the fair’s online platform is available until the end of February. However, after the previous cautious event season, everyone already felt the need for a personal meeting, so the representatives of BioVendor Group went to Dubai to meet with their current and potential business partners.

We have started the celebrations of BioVendor Group’s 30th anniversary

In contrast to the Medica fair, we welcomed the newly established company BioVendor MDx, which covers the group’s activities in the field of molecular diagnostics, under the unified brand of our group. Another important topic that we paid attention to at our joint stand was the 30th anniversary of BioVendor Group. Together with the visitors of Medlab, we were able to celebrate the entry into the fourth decade by presenting the novelties of our product portfolio. Innovative solutions for molecular diagnostics in the form of NGS, LAMP and miRNA, last year launched a fully automated CLIA solution for complex diagnostics or a unique concept for testing multiplex samples using Microblot-Array technology, formed the main part of our visual and content presentation at the fair. The touch screen, which enables a virtual tour of the KleeYa® automated analyzer, was a great way to get to know the technology and the device in detail.

Our stand was quite busy

Nobody could complain about the lack of visitors at this year’s Medlab: “The busy exhibition halls, despite the ongoing pandemic, have shown that people want to meet while adhering to basic security measures,” Martin Zeppetzauer, CEO of ViennaLab, comments on what was happening at the fair and adds: “Meetings and discussions with our partners show that the healthcare sector is stronger than ever before and is looking for new advanced technologies in patient care, such as our NGS technology.

Michal Šteffl, business development manager for IVD at TestLine, evaluates the fair similarly: “I would like to say that this year’s fair was better than before the pandemic. On the one hand, there is a hunger for these events after the COVID-19 break, and on the other hand, distributors and people who are really interested in the COVID-19 issue have come, so our meetings were of better quality.” His colleague Taher Alahwal, Area Sales Manager for the Middle East and North Africa, shares his opinion. He was pleasantly surprised by the number of visitors to the fair and says: “Attendance at the fair was great, better than I expected. I was finally able to meet our customers in person.

We are looking forward to the next year

Their words are also confirmed by the organizer, who, based on numerous requests from exhibitors and visitors, decided to organize the next year’s fair independently without the parallel Arab Health Fair. We have a lot to look forward to. Don’t forget to mark February 6 – 9, 2023 in your diaries!
