What you will be working on

In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for managing our Global Service & Application Organization, consisting of Field Service Engineers and Field Application Engineers. This team of approximately 30 professionals—primarily based in the Czech Republic and Slovakia—supports all instruments marketed by BioVendor Group worldwide.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Structuring & optimizing the team
    Define the organization’s structure and implement best-in-class processes, tools, and KPIs to drive operational excellence.
  • Driving operational excellence
    Oversee daily operations to support both direct customers (mainly in Czech Republic and Slovakia) and international distributors. This includes corrective and preventive maintenance, installations, trainings, spare parts management, and other technical services.
  • Leading & developing people
    Inspire, motivate, and guide team members. Ensure a safe and compliant work environment in line with local laws and company policies. Regularly evaluate both individual and team performance, identify areas for improvement, and report key results to senior management, particularly to the Chief Commercial Officer.
  • Managing department operations
    Lead the department’s day-to-day activities, including HR matters, budgeting and financial oversight, expense and travel approvals, and coordination of strategic initiatives and projects. 
    You will work closely with internal teams (R&D, Marketing, Finance etc.) and strategic partners to maximize the technical and commercial success of our instrument portfolio.

Additionally, you will ensure that all relevant departmental processes are properly documented in accordance with ISO 13485 quality management system requirements.

What is important to us:

  • Educational background
    High school diploma with a focus on biomedicine, engineering (electrical, mechanical, or similar).
  • Proven leadership experience
    Minimum of 5 years managing service teams within the medical or healthcare industry.
  • Language skills
    Fluent in English and Czech.
  • Customer & problem-solving mindset
    Strong dedication to supporting customers and distributors and resolving technical challenges effectively.
  • Agility & adaptability
    Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, navigating a matrix organization, and adapting to different cultures and situations under pressure.
  • Interpersonal skills
    Empathetic, communicative, and a true team player who fosters collaboration and positive relationships.
