Nasopharyngeal swab
A method for collecting a clinical test sample of nasal secretions from the back of the nose and throat. The pharynx is the part of the throat behind the mouth and nasal cavity, and above the esophagus and larynx – the tubes going down to the stomach and the lungs. The nasopharynx is the upper portion of the pharynx.
