What you will be working on:

You will oversee the comprehensive purchasing process and ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services across the BioVendor Group. This role combines operational management with strategic planning to optimize supplier performance, reduce costs and manage risk.

Your main responsibilities within strategic purchasing will be:

  • Develop and implement the company's procurement strategy in line with the organization's objectives (cost, quality, delivery, sustainability),
  • Conduct market analysis, identify opportunities and risks in the supply chain and implement mitigation plans,
  • Categorize procurement,
  • Develop and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers and partners; negotiate framework agreements.

Your main responsibilities within operational purchasing will be:

  • Ensure timely and effective fulfillment of procurement operational needs and adherence to quality standards,
  • Manage supplier selection, evaluation, tendering and contract negotiations,
  • Monitor procurement budget and identify cost savings opportunities,
  • Monitor supplier performance (KPI) and implement corrective actions as needed,
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, logistics, quality, finance, R&D) to ensure procurement supports organizational goals.
  • Lead, develop and motivate procurement team, set targets and monitor performance.

What is important to us:  

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic purchasing, proven experience in public procurement in a leadership role,
  • High school diploma with a focus on economy or logistics,
  • Active knowledge of English and Czech in written and spoken form,
  • Knowledge of public procurement processes and legislation,  
  • Knowledge of digital tools for public procurement,
  • Excellent negotiation skills at all organizational levels,
  • Management skills; ability to lead a multi-member team,
  • Strong strategic thinking; ability to define and implement public procurement strategies,
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to build relationships both internally and externally within the organization.
